The lighthouse stands at the northeastern corner of the Isle of Anglesey marking the northern entrance to Menai Strait, which separates the island from the Welsh mainland. Located just off the point of Trwyn Penmon about 3/4 mile northeast of Penmon. It is possible to walk to the lighthouse at low tide. ARLHS # WAL-031 (A 5140)
