The lighthouse was automated in 1961 and comverted to wind power in 1986. The buildings are now in use as an ornithoLogical station. Tours to the island, popular with birders, are available from Mariehamn. Located on the northern tip of the island. ARLHS # ALA-011 (C 4480)
