Çiva Burnu (Cape Civa or Cape Mercury) is the wedge-shaped delta of the Yeşilirmak (Iris) River. Presently the river flows into the sea at the point of the cape. The lighthouse is 2.5 km southeast of the river mouth and about 30 km northeast of the city of Samsun. ARLHS # TUR-002
